The Gateway to Kinnaur is an iconic stone arch built into the mountainside on the old Hindustan–Tibet Road, marking the traditional entrance to the Kinnaur region. Perched above the roaring Satluj River, this remarkable rock gateway showcases the dramatic engineering of the Himalayan roads. It is one of the most photographed landmarks in Himachal Pradesh, symbolizing the beginning of the scenic journey into Kinnaur's breathtaking valleys, ancient villages, and rich cultural heritage.

A well-prepared trip designed by ARC gives you an immersive experience of all the beauty that Spiti Valley holds during the day - and a night sky unlike any you have ever seen. The trip begins at Delhi, which is the pickup point. From there, we journey towards Shimla, passing through small but visually delightful villages and the Kinnaur Valley, before reaching Chitkul - India's last village, with its jaw-dropping mountain views. Over the following days, we visit scenically stunning locations such as the Sutlej-Spiti confluence, River Baspa, and Chandratal Lake, as well as culturally rich sites like the monasteries at Tabo, Dhankar, and Key. We also explore major attractions including Pin Valley National Park, Kaza, Langza (the fossil village), Hikkim (home to one of the world's highest post office), Komic, Kibber Village, and the iconic Chicham rope bridge. And before we head back, we slow down in Shimla for some well-earned rest; and, of course, some shopping.

The towering Langza Buddha Statue overlooks the ancient village of Langza, with the majestic Himalayas stretching beyond. Under the pristine dark skies of Spiti, the glowing Milky Way forms a spectacular celestial arch above the statue, creating a breathtaking union of spirituality and the cosmos. While all of this unfolds during the day, the nights in Spiti are a world of their own.
